I asked a question earlier this week, about a whistling noise coming from my engine when i'm driving my truck, I don't hear the noise when the truck is just idleing, just when I hit the accelorator. Your response was to check the air intake plenum. I haven't done that yet, but I did take the oxygen sensor out and when I hit the throttle I couldn't hear the whistling noise. Then when I put it back in and hit the throttle the whistling noise would start back, can't drive without the oxygen sensor in because my truck sounds too loud, I put a new sensor in also, could my problem be coming from a leakage or a gasket. Anything you tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Will it make the noise if you hold the RPM's up while truck is sitting still?

Then try using carb spray to find the leak while holding the rpm's up

You could also check the exaust manifold gasket and the gasket between the headers and the muffler. Thats where mine was leaking. And it was making a high pitch annoying noise.
