my truck is a mazda 1991 b-2600i and it used to sputter like it either wasnt gitting fire or maybe it was a fuel problem, until i came home in it one day, and its never started since.I have 12 volts on coil wire untill u turn ignition to start, and drops to 8.5-9.0 volts or so...while turning engine over, but not gitting any fire from distributor cap to plugs or plug wires for that matter..and was curious if it could be the control module or if its the distributor itself....

Hi there,

check for a faulty distributor cap and rotor, if you have spark occurring the distributor is OK.
