can I put a smaller engine in my b2600 I truck or does it have to be a 2.6 exact engine.

I would try to put a 2.3 in it they do make a 2.0 but it is carburated

make sure the trans bolts line up and the engine mounts

the air filter and header will need to be looked at and the computer will need to be either reprogrammed or get the computer that goes with the smaller engine
