1990 Mazda Truck check engine light

My check engine light in my 1990 b2600i came on at exactly 140,000 miles. The truck runs fine and disconnecting the battery does not reset the light. I'm pretty sure that it's an automatic light for the emissions system. Do you know how I can reset the light myself? Thank you for any help.
