My 1990 Mazda B2600 Will start and run for about 60 seconds and then will stop as if it has run out of gas. At that point, it will not start again for several hours. At which time it will again run for about 60 seconds before stalling.
I installed a new fuel filter, the one that is mounted on the firewall. It has a new computer. And the fuel tank ss about 3/4 full of fuel. The Clymer and Chilton manuals are too vague to help. Is there a fuel pressure regulator, or another fuel filter somewhere? A local mechanic said that I should replace the fuel cap and the O2 Sensor?
I'd appreciate your help!

When it dies, need to verify good fuel pressure and spark. At that mileage I wouldnt be too surprised if the fuel pump was going out, but need to verify it with a manual pressure gauge

I've got good spark. But no fuel pressure when it stalls. If it sits for several hours. It will then start and run fine for about 60 seconds. I was given this truck a few months ago. Prior to this problem, the only issue I had was that under HARD acceleration, it would usually starve for fuel.
Thanks for the help!

If no pressure it is going to be the pump most likely, could be the relay, try that first, but like I said, at that mileage the pump is weak at the very least

Can we asume that we have a good fuel pump & weak or no spark! What would cause weak or no spark to the plugs?
