Hi there,

I have a 2003 Mazda Tribute. After starting up, and driving for a fair while ( maybe 20 mins of driving ) and turning off the car, when I re-start it within a few minutes, the revs are very high and the car sounds like I have my foot on the gas. The revs do go down after about 10 secs. or so. Could this be a problem ??

The idle air control valve could be sticking try cleaning it out and also test the throttle position sensor's closed idle and WOT voltages-
