2002 Mazda Tribute Weird Noise

While driving 50 mph or less, there is a noise that sounds like metal spinning against metal. The alternator was replaced last week and this is the noise the truck has been making ever since. Do you have any idea what this noise is?

the noise or the sound comes from under the hood
you just had the alternator replaced and you had no sound prior to that
I would check alternator center nut if tight
check tensioner and pulleys
remove belt and spin check alternator
