2002 Mazda Tribute 4 wheel drive light comes on when not in

For the past week and half usually in the morning and the afternoon when going home, my four wheel drive light comes on. At first for only five minutes, now twenty minutes. I have replaced my engine due to a pistal shattering in the original engine. Can you please assist me! Thank you!
