Mazda RX7 1985 high idle when engine warms-94K

My 1985 RX7 will accelerate when I'm shifting gears instead of dropping to an idle. When shifting to a higher gear the car will jump forward when the clutch is let out. When standing still and not in gear, the car will eventually return to idle but very slowly.

First: you might want to check your throttle cable i know that i have had that happen to me, maybe a different situation. but i know your cable to be getting pinched and not fully able to release correctly.
