1982 Mazda RX7 rear hatch strut installation

I recently purchased two new rear hatch struts but the screws/bolts that attach the strut to the side of the vehicle did not come with the new struts. Can I use the ones off the old struts, if so, how do I remove them?

if they are in good condition then i don't see why you couldn't use them. is this the rear hatch with or without rear glass?
