In a nutshell - I've got to replace the driver side front wheel bearings - at this point I've got the car blocked - caliper and rotor off, center nut is also off - I'm not sure how to pull the whell hub, i.e., do I use a puller? If so what type? Are there any paricular troubling spots in the process?

Hi gofourth,

Puller needed is hammer type. Attach to hub nuts and hammer outwards.

Be sure to push the CV joints inwards to free it first.

After taking out hub, you need to get the bearing cone off it.

After replacement of bearing, it is best to press the hub into the bearing before installing as it will ensure there is no free gap in between which would cause premature wheel bearing failure.
