2002 Mazda Protege water leak

what would need to be done to stop a leak or leaks in my mazda protege water seem to drain inside the trunk area and alomg side the carpet area.

the weather stripping in your trunk is not seaqling the trunk and letting water run to fix this problem the weather stripping will need to be replaced another place water can get in is from the bottom where the wheel wells are or if there is a hole in your trunk this would happen if a spot has rusted out but if the wheel wells and the trunk check out then your weather stripping is not sealing the trunk
