When we attempt to connect the cables to a new car battery, the car alarm is activated and won't stop, even with the remote. What is the trick to connect the cables and stop the alarm?

Hi mrtg,

Thank you for the donation.

After the battery is connected, use the remote to disarm it.

If the remote does not work, close all doors and use the key to lock and unlock the doors. If it still does not stop, insert key in ignition and turn it on.

Is the alarm factory or after market?

Thanks for your quick reply. It's a factory-installed alarm.

When using the remote to disarm, close all doors and disarm the hood switch.

Did the above work?
