2002 Mazda Protege EGR Valve

Engine Performance problem
2002 Mazda Protege 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Check Engine light came on, took it to autzone for them to see what caused the light to come on and it said something with the EGR valve. Took it to the dealer because we thought there may have been a recall associated with this and they said there wasnt and it would cost $475 to fix. This seemed steep. Does that seem right?

First of all thank you so much for your donation.I need a little more information so i can answer your question.If you could get me the code number you have in the computer that would really help.Also what are they charging you 475 for?What are they replacing?I at least need to know what there charging 475 for so i can answer your question.
