I got front struts about 6 months ago. They said I needed rear struts but I couldn't afford to have it done at the time. My car ride is now very rough. I'm going to get the rear ones done. Could waiting have damaged the new front struts? Also, is it better to get this work done by the dealer? I don't know how to find a good mechanic, any ideas? Desi

Hi there,

The front struts should be fine, as for the fitting of the rear struts, it is a shame that you can not find a qualified mechanical work shop you can trust, there out there. Don't worry about that. Maybe asks your friends who they use, if at all in doubt go to the dealer, it will cost a bit more, but it should give you some piece of mind.
