2001 Mazda Protege 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

i got acheck engine light on ,and the scanner code 1776 saying the front sensor is inverson fault .i 've changed it with a napa part direct fit. but now it came back after a few days. what does it mean by inverson

That error code is caused by a vacuum leak, cyclinder misfire or injector malfunction. You will have to fix the runability problem first.

Can i ask a couple of questions.

Did the code 1776 have the letter P in front of it?

and do you have a 1.6 engine.
