I am about ready to take my vehicle in for an e test. However, my check engine light is on. I have found a split in the air meter boot. I have temporarily taped up the boot and my check engine light went out for a few days. It came back on a few days later with OBD Codes 0104, 0171 and 0455. Is there a common denominator with these? The guy I bought the car off a year ago had it e tested last february 2007 so when I bought it in July 2007 it didn't need an emissions test. Will it pass with these codes? Your help would be appreciated.

Hi dkwells,

Looks like your sealing tape is not doing the job well and there might be something wrong with your gas cap.

Not likely to pass e test.
