I have a 98 Mazda Protege and for some reason the brake light just stopped working a while back. The taillights still work and all three brake lights stopped working at the same time so I don't think the bulbs burnt out, they also look ok still. I also checked the fuses and they are fine and just replaced the brake light switch and still nothing. Is there something that im missing or something else I can try. Thank you.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I would start with checking the power flow through the circuit, using a test light test for voltage at both sides of the fuse, at the switch and through the switch when pedal pressed and at the plug at the rear lights and at the light socket, if all ok check earths, if power is lost at on point you have a starting point to begin your search for the reason, start here.
