1997 Mazda Protege 4 cyl Manual 180, 00 miles

I need to replace the computer on my car. I went to the junk yard and pulled one off of a 95 protege. How do I find out if it is compatible?

If the part numbers match. Then you should be able to use the 95 PCM/ECU. I think they are different for these 2 years
