Car overheats when not even having been driven more than a mile to the store and back. Thermostat was replaced and engine coolant is fine. Hoses and belts seem to be ok. The engine runs fine and the car cranks up on a dime. Only thing is when it ets hot after that small of a time drivng it then it of course has smoke from burnt oil coming off the engine and you could grill a steak on it.

Next time it gets hot, check the coolant reservoir. See if the coolant is boiling. If it is, replace your radiator cap. If it doesn't, perform a leakdown test to make sure the block holds pressure.
