Knocking sound

i have a 91 madaz protage or how ever u spell it with 97000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago i started hearing a knocking sound in the front left driver side. You can hear it the whole time driving , but you can REALLY hear it when ever i turn right. Any idel on what this could be.

Sounds like you have a bad CV joint and or axle.

how much does each of them cost? and how hard are they to do yourself

Not a real do it yourself job. It is about $125.00 per side. losone

what would the best place be to take it? i live in indianapolis in just wondering what would be the cheapest place to take it

Not a clue, I live in Biloxi, Ms. My advise it don't take it to muffeler or tire shops--they like to rip people of. I am sure there is a mom and pop shop that will do the job just fine, it isn't brain surgery
