coolant temp. sensor / rotary engine tips

i have a '03 mazda6i. i recently bought an accelerator chip and it says to install it on the coolant temperature sensor. i feel really stupid because i cant find the damn thing. if anyone can tell me where it is that would be great.

also, if anyone needs rotary engine rebuild tips i have some advice to lend.

Coolant temp. or temp gauge sender.
The coolant temp sender should be on the bottom of the radiator (driver side); if it's the temp gauge sender, then it should be on the engine block (driver side) towards the rear. I could use some help with the rotary.
