My 2006 mazda 6 sport has recently being acting as if it is stuck in gear. When going up a hill, it stays in 4th or 5th gear and will not go above 35mph when accelerating. Sometimes while driving it will jolt real hard when I press the accelerator and then kick into gear. I have only put 29,000 miles on this car, could it be in need of a new transmission.

Hi there,

I would contact your dealer and talk to them about this transmission problem, What is the warranty on this car? At 12 months old and only 29K on the clock, i would expect that would be looking after you. Try them first and see how you get on, it will only cost a phone call and i could save you a small fortune.
