Engine Cooling problem
1994 Other Mazda Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Do I have to lift the engine out to change the water pump.
I would donate but can't afford it cos i have just started a pre apprentice course to be a mechanic.

you can replace water pump without yanking motor out then. timing belt will have to be removed also during the repair so should go ahead and put new belt on it. work through the right front wheel well to access the timing belt. (maybe reverse side..? ..it is Australian yes?)

Don't know. I'm in New Zealand. I had a funny idea I could do that. I'd just have to lift the body enough to get the wheel out of the road. This mechanic stuff is pretty cool. Where are you?
