1993 Mazda MX6 Beeps - What in the heck?

Five beeps, five times. Then nothing else. Everything else seems OK. What's that mean?

My son's 1993 mx-6 did the same thing. He found that there is a small circuit board under the dash just inside the drivers door that went bad. Picked one up at a salvage yard for $15.00 installed it and no more beeping.
