MX6 92 - initial acceleration revs up too much

when acceleration from zero the engine revs up to about 2000 rpm, then starts moving but the revs go up as well. After reaching 30 mph, the revs come back to normal.
I have automatic trans, and I noticed that each automatic gear change has first the extra revs before setting back to normal.
Any clues what's wrong with my MX6?

i have a 91 mazada mx6 and when i start my car it rams up to 3000 rpms and it gives it gas sometimes by it self even when i have my foot on the gas petal. does anyone know what it could be .sawmillwood@yahoo.com
