My car has been overheating and I've been told I need to replace the water pump. Is this a difficult job to do on a miata mx5?

not sure what your level of experience is but at a reputable repair shop this job takes approx. 4 labor hours..it can be a big job for a do it yourselfer with limited tools / equipment..
