1996 Mazda MX3 Oil Pressure

My car is being worked on right now and i was going to see if could help me out and diagnose the problem with my car...

OK...the problem...Oil Pressure, car starts up gets to idle, oil pressure drops to 15psi, then as the car revs up to roughly 2,000 rpm... the pressure rises to normal.

is the problem the gauge itself being faulty, or is it a big thing, like a lifter or something...

Hi there, is this 15 psi cold idle and is it being checked with a mechanical test gauge?

i think it is a cold idle, i was informed over the phone but im going to my mech`s house in a little bit, and im also unsure whether or not hes using a mechanical test gauge....
