DESCRIPTION A squeal noise may be heard when releasing the clutch (moving the vehicle from a stop or shifting gears). The squeal is caused by mismatched springs in the cushioning plate of the clutch. To prevent squealing, the thickness of the cushioning plate has increased. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the complaint.
