Hello -
If you do need to get back with me please let me know if your model is a DX, ES, or LX. Also is your engine size the 2.5L?
I have provided the info I believe you need. For the hum. . ...it may be your IAC. There is a TSB out on this. . ..I have attached that info and other info on the IAC.
Next the PCV. . ..the location and check of that. . .. . ..it should be inspected every 60,000 miles. Me, I would change it as they are not that much. . ...preventive maintenance I call it.
EGR. . ...I have attached a check for it. . ...the other check you need test equipment and the information on it.
Then some other sensor info
IAC information
IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE INSPECTION
Resistance Inspection
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the IAC valve connector.
Measure the resistance between the IAC valve terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the IAC valve. Intake Manifold; Service and Repair. If as specified but the Simulation Test is failed, carry out the "Circuit Open/Short Inspection". Resistance: 8.64 - 10.56 ohms

DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a foghorn or loud moaning noise coming from the engine compartment, which may occur when the engine is half-warmed up or the vehicle is being decelerated. This condition may be caused by an internal problem with the Idle Air Control valve (IAC). The IAC has been modified to correct this concern.
Customers with this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Replace IAC valve with a modified part according to Workshop Manual (section 01-13) INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
3. Verify repair.
PCV Information

Testing and Inspection
Notes
On-vehicle Inspection
Carry out the "EGR Control Inspection".
If not as specified, perform the following inspection of the EGR valve.
Resistance Inspection
NOTE: Perform the following test only when directed.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Inspect resistance of the EGR valve coils.
If not as specified, replace the EGR valve.
If as specified but the "EGR Control Inspection" failed, inspect the vacuum hoses for improper routing, kinks or leakage, and inspect "Circuit Open/Short Inspection".
