Hi,
Our 2000 MPV needed a new alternator. After the work was done it idles at 3000rpm. The tech said the computer needed to relearn idle setpoints and shift points. He thought it would take 10-15 miles. We went for a long trip the next day (120 miles) and there has been no change.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Ben

Hi bgodfrey, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens-continues you just have to drive it to relearn itself-could 40 key cycles
