2000 Mazda MPV Computer Problem

I took my vehicle for a smog test, everything passed except the functional check. My smog check vehicle inspection report states "this vehicle failed the MIL/Check Engine Light due to OBD communications failure.

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated The test station could not get their scanner to link to the vehicle !! therefore could not check the OBD readiness status of the vehicle ... take the car to a good autoparts store (autozone etc.) have them try and link their code scanner to your vehicle !! you could also check fuse # 13 and 20 in underdash fuse box ..! these supply power to DLC (data link connector) hope this helps ..let me know
