Hello. My check engine light is on in my 98 Mazda MPV. I had the codes pulled at Autozone and it indicates a problem with the catalytic converter. How long can I drive it before getting this fixed? Will I be causing damage to the engine by continuing to drive it until I can afford to have it fixed? Is this an expensive repair? Thank you.

What you need to do is find out why the catalytic converter went bad before you replace it, the replacement is not gonna do you good.

Hey bmachold,

Did you find the solution to your problem? I have the same problem and not sure how long can I wait before getting it replaced.

Thanks,
Ajay
