I had an alternator put on my car. The mechanic replaced the alternator and put antifreeze in my car. This was done two weeks ago. My car ran hot on today. What do you think the mechanic could have done.

My guess is that there was a reason for the alternater...you could maybe provide why de did so.

While your car was there he DID YOU A FAVOR and added coolant because it was low. IT was probably low because of.....a leak in the system. You need to check your coolant. It's prabably low again from the leak that caused the mechanic to add some n the first place.

Have a little faith in the shop, if you don't find another.
