I am not sure If my problem is related to the transmission or not. I haven't had a tune up or have replaced the spark plugs in a while andwas i hoping maybe that will just fix the problem. This just started yesterday but when i put the car in drive and step on the gas it revs for a while then jerks into gear. it just takes a while to do what it is supposed to do. its not a big deal i still drive fine its just a little annoying. i never have any problems with it once im driving even 10 mph or more its just when i first hit the gas or when i am going in reverse is when its particularly bad. would a tune up fix it or do i have to have a mechanic look at the expensive tranmission.

Hi Lance Brown,

There is some lag in trans response and it should be the trans that need attention.

Check if ATF level is correct and clean.
