1996 Mazda Millenia alternator

i can't get the alternator off on my mazda millenia 1996 its a 2.5 the bottom bolt is getting stuck on the fire wall and won't go any farther so i can't get it off can you help.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
On models equipped with the 2.3L engine, remove the front charge air cooler, radiator upper seal board and the condenser fan assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Remove the right splash shield.
Remove the drive belt from the alternator pulley.
Remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts and support the compressor aside, leaving the refrigerant lines connected.
Remove the upper and lower alternator mounting bolts and the alternator.
