2006 Mazda Miata normal operating temp too low?

2006 miata coolant temp will not excede 175 degrees in normal driving after warmup. Dealer checked t-stat and said all OK. Seems to me that this is cooler than normal - 190 degrees would make more sense, Is this a problem and will it cause permanent damage running this cool? Thanks for the help

The thermostat controls the engine temperature could be stuck open or the coolant temperature sensor is out of calibration or the gauge itself
