Engine problem
2001 Mazda Miata V6 55000 miles

I had a Miata with 55K miles and no problems. I brought it into the dealer for a tune-up, and immediately afterwards noticed that the car started poorly (it drives fine).
Then about a week later, the check engine light came on. The dealer said it was an "intermittent Oxygen Sensor" and replaced it- $550.
Now, another week has gone by, and the check engine light came on. The dealer now says it is an "intermittent Fuel Pump" and wants another $650 to replace it.

I am concerned that this is too conincidental, and something related to the initial tune up could be the cause of the problem, but I wanted a professional opinion.

The only thing that would come to mind is if the air boot between the MAF and the throttle body got cracked or incorrectly installed or another vacuum leak, it could set a lean code that could be seen as an o2 sensor or fuel pump problem
