2000 Mazda Miata Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
Drove home day before, car ran great. When tried to start next day, would not fire. Fuel pump does not ck OK following the maint manual procedure, by jumping the diagnostic plug pins. Thought maybe fuel pump relay, so tried to start with pump running directly from battery (can hear pump running), still no start. Pulled a plug, grounded and cranked, No Spark. I have 12 VDC to the coils. Checked for input voltage to the PCM, checks OK. Could the Cam sensor or the Crank sensor affect the fuel pump as well as the spark?

Hi Johnn Spasoff,

Yes, the sensors are the signals for the PCM to provide signals to the coils. As to the fuel pump, some models need the PCM to work the relay so it can be related.
