Computer problem
1999 Mazda Miata 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic +100,0 miles

Vechicle wont pass inspection. Check eng code indicates catyl converter. Replaced twice before. Fails inspection. After brief time lite returns and fails again. what to do? Dont believe it is as indicated by light because catyl conv replaced. Code however, indicates catyl conv issue

The problem could be te 02 sensor. Disconnect the battery cables, let it sit for a few minutes, this should clear the fault codes in the computer. Reconnect the battery cable and start it up. I think this should solve the problem.
