1995 Mazda Miata Will not idle

1995 Mazda Miata 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

When I come to a stop at road junctions, the car will not idle. It seems to run fine at revs above 750. Sometimes it shuts off and others it stutters at around 250 revs.

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up?

Inspect and test the idle air control valve/throttle position sensor/MAF sensor

Thanks guys.
Turned out to be MAF sensor. I did not have a check engine light and the last tune up was 12,000 ago.
