1993 Mazda Miata oil around my spark plugs

Hello - I just noticed while changing my spark pluge to the oem champion plugs that the cylinder closest to the firewall - the plug had oil around it - on top of the plug - I had a 93 toyota camry with the same issue but cant remember the fix - would changint the valve cover gasket be the fix? HELP ASAP!!!!

Yes, that is what is wrong, the gasket has lost its seal around the plug well, allowing oil in.Those 4 cyl Camrys always came loose..... You should take care of this, the coils dontlike firing into oil, it can cause premature failure
