Ok so I tried to install a new clutch and had a tough time because the input shaft didnt line up with the clutch teeth.

i got the tranny and clutch back off and now the engine requires a ratchet and two arms to spin.
did I royally messup the crank?
what do I do from here

should I continue reinstalling everything?

Hi jared, did you spin the motor before and it was easier? It usualy takes 2 hands and a rachet to spin a motor. Were the spark plugs in the first time you spun it? The second time u spun it? Let me know.

Problem got solved
everything is put back together now
engine spins

i am chosing not to drive it to work though because somewhat in second and mostly in third there is a noise betweet 2100-2500 rpms
it is not loud but it is there
and the noise is ONLY in those gears, ONLY at those rpms, and ONLY when I am off of the gas pedal
i dont know how to describe the noise bu I know it is the tranny it sounds like gears I think
i put in amzoil 75-90 if it matters

other than that noise it runs grrrrrrrrrrrreat

i am going to check the tranny oil when I get home from work
any suggestions would be appreciated

thanks
jared

Hi Jared,

Was noise present before replacement of the clutch?

Since the noise is present only in 2nd or 3rd gear, it is most likely to be internal.

Does the noise disappear or changes when the clutch pedal is depressed?
