I drive a mazda b2600i 4x4 manuel truck. Recently I started it and it started a werid sound. From a former izuzu rodeo I had before I blew a rod from that. I have recently changed the oil. I put in mobil 10w-40 with a STP oil filter. It has 3/4 oil on the dip stick right now and still has the knock. When I rev it up it gets faster. I have ran it somewhat hard. On the highway I would be crusing for about 45mins at 3000 rpm thats just the way the trans is made I guess. It does have a crack on the top of the radiator and got hot one night but still in the normal zone. I put more coolant in and just steam came out. I just dont know what is the cheapest way to fix it. Its a daily driver car.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

I fear that the knock is a failed bearing, what you describe is constant with a bearing knock, I would like to know what the oil pressure is cold idle, hot idle and hot at 1500RPM.

It just stoped after I let it sit for about 5 hours. I reved it up to make sure and it hasnt been doing anything since. Maybe something to do with my radiator. It needs to be replaced.

This will not be a radiator problem, more than likely something like a pressure relief valve acting up, have this checked or at least get a oil flush done as the system may be a bit sludgy.
