1992 Mazda b2200 Oil Pressure

When my truck is running at a slow idle the oil light flickers on and sometimes stays on until the engine rpm increases. Is the oil pump going bad, or is there a deeper problem? It just started doing it.

Find the oil pressure sending unit remove it hook up an oil pressure gauge-if normal pressure replace the OPSU. If not could be the oil pump or engine bearings-
