2001 Mazda 626 starting problems

My car does this thing that it will start fine some days and then not start with out pushing in the clucth. But some times it still doesn't even work with out tring for a couple of time. Can u please tell me what this is please

You listed the vehicle as automatic but mentioned pushing the clutch, I need a clarificatio on this.

When problem occurs, does the engine crank without starting or engine does not crank at all?
