hi i have a 2001 mazda 626 automatic with 131000 miles. While accelerating the car jerks. It is slow to accelerate and from going to from 2nd to 3rd gear it jerks. the engine light came on. i went to a mechanic to check it. he said i just needed new spark plugs. I kind of researched it online and it came up that alot of mazda's have transmisiion problems. So do you think its the transmission.
