2000 Mazda 626 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

i was driving to take a friend home the other night and i stoped at a stop light and the car died and has not been able to start since then the timing belt is fine and the fuel pump and filter are fine too any ideas on whats wrong ?

Inspect charging system. If OK then check for healthy spark at the plugs and fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
