I have a 1999 Mazda 626, that not always, but sometimes after starting, the front end shakes and stalls. The car will restart ok and will do it again. If I press down on the accelerator to give it more gas after restarting it, the car won't stall. This only happens when in idle. It never dies on me while driving.

Is your 626 a 2.0L 4cyl? This sounds like either a stuck open BAC valve.....one on top of the throttle body OR a leaking intake gasket.

To test the first one....tap on the BAC valve while it is running with a small hammer. The valce is round with two wires coming out of it with a coolant hose attached to it.
