I have a 1999 Mazda 626 that my daughter bought about 2 months ago. It blew a radiator hose, I replaced it, but now I cannot get it to start. It turns over and will almost catch, and then it will backfire. I have replaced the spark plugs and tested the spark to make sure that all plugs where firing, and they where. When I took out the old sparkplugs, plug 2 and 3 where covered in oil to the point that they dripped when I pulled them out. Also, I noticed that each time I try to start it after it sits for a day or so, there will be a puddle of gas under the car right behind the engine.

Any suggestions on what I can look at next?

Two adjacent dead cylinders-try retorquing the head down for the oil leak or do a compression on 2/3-for the gas inspect the fuel lines don't stop till you find the leak-Think! engine could catch on fire-you're in danger here.
